Families that worship together, stay together

Over the past couple of years, my eyes have been open to something that I think has assisted to the drastic decline in the faith of young people, the fact that churches are segregating families from each other. Many families in many churches look like this:
The family arrives together in the family vehicle. Then Bobby goes to his fourth grade class which Suzy goes to her 2nd grade class. Little Jake gets dropped oof in the nursery. Mom goes to a womens class and Dad goes to a men's class. Then, after Sunday School, Bobby and Suzy go to "Children's Church", Jake stays in the nursery, and Mom and Dad go to "Big Church". The family is not united together again until they get in the car to leave!

This really troubles me and and really has caused me to research alternatives. The Family Integrated Church appears to be a viable alternative. The family is the central social unit in the Bible. Now by "family", I am defining it as a household, whether a family/household of one (a single adult), two (a married man and woman), or more (parent(s) with a child(ren). A great article was just pulled out of the archives by John and Noel Piper that addresses the issue of families worshipping together. Dr. Voddie Baucham exhorted this in his "The Centrality of the Home" message that has sent shock waves amongst church leaders.

This is a sensitive issue, but I would love to hear some feedback.
