I have really been wrestling with what the Bible says the church should look like and how it should minister. I guess this is the convergence of a lot of things. First, earlier this year Misty and I discovered this idea of the Family Integrated Church which strives for families to worship together rather than separate as they do in most churches. Second, we are praying about whether or not to be a part of a church plant in the small town where we live. Third, God just seems to have it on our hearts and I think one day God will have us start a church. I just see how churches today do not seem to be placing the bible as it's authority and guide. Churches today want to follow a model after some popular mega church like Willow Creek, Saddleback, or Northpoint. Those are pretty good churches, but are they what God desires and what lasting impact on lives are they really having? I don't know, that is why I am wrestling with this. More thoughts later.
